The scene, crafted to mimic an affluent stature, invites judgment that is directed toward the mannequin's affected demeanor, drawn into this false narrative, stirred by the paradox of critiquing a mere simulation while overlooking the profound truth that Lorenzo is, indeed, a dummy. The irony of this moment resides not in the mimicry of human mannerisms, but in our own perceptions. We become entrapped in the spectacle, captivated by the flawless illusion. Just as in 'A Dummies' Affair,' where dummies mirrored human experiences, 'Lorenzo' serves as an emblem of our propensity to embrace the illusion as reality, all the while failing to question its essence. Dibond® aluminum panel
Hahnemhüle Fine Art Baryta paper mounted on Dibond® aluminum panel. The Dibond® is a composite panel consisting of two aluminum sheets, each 0.30mm thick, with a polyethylene core that brings the total thickness to 2mm. Its unique construction maintains surface flatness, resisting deformation over time and temperature variations. Due to its raw, sharp and unfinished edges, it is quite delicate and it’s recommended handling it with extra care.
